Cincinnati Milacron Thermal Stability – Procedure A This test is intended to measure the thermal stability of hydraulic oils. Copper and steel rods are placed together in the oil which is heated to 135°C for one week. The condition of the metal specimens is reported according to the Cincinnati Milacron color chart, total sludge in mg/100 ml oil, and viscosity change can also be reported.
